Prep Time : 11-15 minutes

Cook time : 26-30 minutes

Serve : 4

Ingredients:

  • P Mark chickpea flour (besan) 2 cups
  • Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into small cubes 50 grams or 1 cup
  • Bean sprouts 1 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Carom seeds (ajwain) ¼ teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon
  • Oil 1 tablespoon + to shallow fry
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Red capsicum chopped ¼ medium
  • Yellow capsicum chopped ¼ medium
  • Green capsicum chopped ¼ medium
  • Green chillies chopped 2-3
  • Tomato chopped 1 medium
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

In a mixing bowl take the P Mark gram flour (besan) and add salt, carom seeds and red chilli powder. Now pour water into it, little by little, and whisk to make a smooth dosa like batter.

Step 2

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan and add cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to change colour, add all the three capsicums, green chilies, tomato and cottage cheese and toss. Add bean sprouts, salt and coriander leaves and mix well. Set aside to cool down to room temperature.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick ladle or tawa and brush it with oil. Pour a little batter and spread into circle like dosa but smaller in size. Drizzle a little oil all around and cook till the underside is lightly browned. Spread the filling on one side of the besan cheela and fold the other side over the filling.

Step 4

Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
